My five favorite posts from last year
The only Wrapped I looked at. Sorry.
I write weekly on tactics and insights on cultivating authentic relationships that matter to your business, career, and life.
I have a confession to make - I have consumed none of the “year-in-review” summaries from any of the services or apps. So I can’t tell you what my top Spotify album is (I’m sure it was bubble gum junk my kids had on repeat), how many miles I rode on Uber or rolls of sushi I ordered on DoorDash (too many). Heck, even the keyboard shortcut tool thinks I care how many “hours I saved.”
But reflecting back on the last year of weekly newsletters I’ve sent you, there are five ideas I want to share with you, as they’re worth a re-read as we head into a new year.
I truly believe relationships are more important than ever, and more people are realizing that every day. Congrats on being ahead of the curve.

When being concerned about rejection, remember the potential reward far exceeds the actual risk of rejection. I still believe the biggest limiting factor for so many people is we’ll find every possible excuse to not press send. Silly.
Invest in joining, participating in, and maybe even creating a group chat or two. Over the past year, I’ve seen group chats only rise in popularity, as people seek connection outside of the traditional social media muck.
What do you want to remember a year from now? A really simple idea to determine what notes to take on people.
Using social media as a signal, not a channel. I still practice this daily.
If I call you FAT, that’s a good thing. Developing a sense of taste will matter more than ever, as algorithms keep feeding what they think we’ll like. That applies to relationships too.
If there’s a theme across all five, it’s this: small, human actions compound faster than any tool, tactic, or platform.
None of these ideas require a new system or a fresh start, just a little intention and a willingness to show up. If you re-read even one of these and act on it, that’s a strong way to enter the year.
Until next week, Zvi
P.S. I almost wrote “Happy New Year!” and then realized it’s already mid-January and the “new year energy” has quietly left the building.
